Obama to impose Communism on USA?

A letter in the Kansas City Star yesterday made the claim that President Obama is intentionally trying to destroy our American system of government in order to be able to impose Communism (do you capitalize Communism?) on our country.   This letter was similar to one printed several months ago.   Really lady?   Communism?    Do you honestly believe that?   What is it, 1953?   Is there anybody in the world today outside of North Korea who really believes that Communism even works?   Even Fidel Castro must be rethinking that one.   The past few years have brought out a lot of what I would have considered fringe views.   If not downright nutty views.   Some people apparently equate Social Security with Communism.   However, it is difficult for me to believe that any substantial percentage of the American people really believe that our President is intentionally trying to destroy our country.   That view takes cynicism to previously uncharted reaches of the netherworld.    My question is why such letters are being published by the mainstream media.   Maybe one letter like this might be reasonable.   But two in a few months?    Yes we have our right of Free Speech and hooray for that.   However, we also have a right to call tilt when people say downright crazy things.   Tilt!!!!!!!
