Everybody who has been playing attention knows that Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, and other Congressional Republicans have blocked virtually everything that the Obama Administation has sought in the way of legislation, including The American Jobs Act, which was intended in part to allow the states more money to retain and hire state government employees. Essentially, Congressional Republicans have blocked everything that has been proposed to help the economy and promote jobs in line with their "primary objective" of denying President Obama a second term. My question is this, if the Congressional Republicans are so certain that the Obama Administration's job proposals won't work, then why not let him try his proposals to promote jobs? If the Obama Administration's proposals were implemented and then didn't have an effect on the job market, then the Republcans could rightfully complain. How can you go around bitching about the Obama Administation having an 8% unemployment rate (with a straight face) when you have done everything possible to insure that result? The Republican's conduct the past few years has been disingenuous and disloyal to the country. Romney's economic solution for the unemployment problem boils down to--gee--more tax cuts! Some Republican out there answer this for me. If tax cuts create employment, then explain the crash of the economy and the job market under the Bush Administration wherein multiple tax cuts were implemented and the economy still tanked?
And somebody tell us what significant debt the Obama Administration added to the deficit other than what was required by the Bush Administration wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Bush tax cuts, and the Medicare Part D prescription drug plan implemented by the Bush Administration?
